Question #1

How does Christianity view Jesus?

6 comments:

  1. Christianity views Jesus as the Messiah, Son of God, or Christ come to save us from sin. The "salvation" happened when he died on the cross. Sinful people can be forgiven or reconciled to God and thereby are offered salvation and eternal life in heaven.

  5. what about the fact that the historical Jesus was not viewed as a messiah. How do you reconcile Jesus as a political radical and jesus as a Messiah?

  6. As is common in many religions, Christianity has embellished on actual historical happenings. As the religion of Christianity began forming after Jesus' death, leaders most likely fabricated the story of Jesus as a messiah to increase the legitimacy of the Christian message. This also gave Christianity a key point to distinguish them from Judaism.
